Why Day Training Day training for dogs in Dousman WI

What is Day Training?

Day Training is our most comprehensive and immersive training program. Designed as a focused two-week experience, it delivers the intensity of a Board & Train while allowing your dog to maintain the stability of their home routine. Your dog will spend their days working directly with our training team and return home each evening, preserving consistency while allowing you to see real results.

Training should feel engaging, not overwhelming. Our goal is not simply to teach your dog what to do, but to help them understand how to learn. In Day Training, we create structure while nurturing resilience, allowing space for mistakes and supporting dogs through challenges with patience and encouragement.

For families looking to see significant progress in a short period of time, Day Training offers our most intensive and effective path to real results. For families looking to continue training, the skills and confidence built here will carry forward into Play & Train, One-on-One sessions, and Group Classes, helping your dog become even more advanced.

What Program is Best for Me?

Pippa's Story

When Rachel adopted Pippa, she knew she was opening her heart to a dog who had never truly been given a chance. After being re-homed from a previous owner, Pippa carried the emotional effects of being neglected. She was anxious, fearful, and reactive, leaving Rachel unsure how to help her navigate the world with confidence.

As the months went on, everyday situations became increasingly difficult. Visitors, unfamiliar sounds, and even simple outings such as a walk around the neighborhood felt unpredictable. Wanting to give Pippa the life she deserved, Rachel began searching for answers and was referred to SkyDance by coworkers.

What she found was more than training. She found a team that gave both her and Pippa the tools to succeed. As Pippa learned to trust Rachel for guidance instead of reacting out of fear, Rachel gained the confidence to better understand and communicate with her. Everyday moments that once felt overwhelming became calm and manageable.

Today, Pippa continues to thrive with the skills she built through Day Training. More importantly, Rachel no longer worries about how Pippa will respond to the world around her. Instead, she gets to enjoy watching the playful, goofy dog she always knew was there shine through, knowing she has the support of the SkyDance team every step of the way.

"SkyDance didn't just help Pippa overcome her fears. They gave us the confidence to understand each other, trust each other, and enjoy life together. We can't imagine where we'd be without them."

Jax's Story

When the Bryant family welcomed Jax into their home after the loss of their beloved dog, Francis, they were hopeful he would bring joy back into their lives. Instead, they found themselves navigating challenges they never expected. Jax struggled with severe reactivity toward people, sights, and sounds, as well as aggression toward the other dogs in the home, turning everyday life into a constant source of stress.

As time went on, walks became overwhelming, car rides felt impossible, and keeping peace between the dogs was a daily challenge. The family knew they couldn't continue living that way. After a recommendation from a friend, they turned to SkyDance for help.

From the very first day, the Bryant family knew they had found the answer. They found a team that helped restore happiness and hope into their home. As Jax learned, the Bryant family gained the confidence to lead him with consistency and clarity. Little by little, the chaos gave way to calm, and life began to feel enjoyable again.

Today, Jax lives happily alongside his canine siblings, loves coming to daycare, joins his family on public outings, and confidently rides in the car. More importantly, the Bryant family has their home back. They can simply enjoy life together again, knowing they have the support of the SkyDance team every step of the way.

"SkyDance didn't just change Jax's behavior. They gave our family the chance to enjoy our home, our dogs, and our lives together again. We truly can't imagine where we'd be without them."

Lego's Story

When Brianna and Jeff brought home Lego as an eight-week-old puppy during the pandemic, they were excited to have the extra time to train and bond with him. As he grew, however, they found themselves facing challenges they never expected. Lego struggled with disobedience, nipping, and resource guarding, leaving them feeling anxious and unsure what to do next.

After trying multiple training classes without success, they reached a heartbreaking point where they questioned whether they would be able to keep the dog they loved. Already familiar with SkyDance through boarding and daycare, they decided to enroll Lego in one of our Day Training Programs.

What they found was more than training. They found a team that gave both them and Lego the tools to succeed. As Lego learned new skills, Brianna and Jeff gained the confidence to better understand and communicate with him. Everyday moments that once felt overwhelming, like walks, crate time, and grooming, became calm and manageable.

Today, Lego continues to build on his success through programs like Nose Work and Cooperative Care. More importantly, his family no longer worries about what each day will bring. They have the confidence to enjoy life with him again, knowing they have the support of the SkyDance team every step of the way.

"SkyDance didn't just train Lego. They gave us the confidence to understand him, communicate with him, and truly enjoy life with him again. We can't imagine where we'd be without the SkyDance team, and we're forever grateful they never gave up on our family."
